CT74: Support (Test Connection/Error Log)

 

This menu option allows you to test the clocks connection to the internet and PayClock Online. You can also displays any errors that the clock may have experienced.

Testing the Clocks Internet Connection

  1. Tap Settings on the touch screen of the CT clock.
  2. Tap the numeric keys for the Admin PIN, press Enter.
  3. The Administrator Main Menu screen will display.
  4. Tap Support and then Test Connection.
  5. Once finished, tap the back button until you have returned to the default screen.

Notes

The internet test will attempt to ping www.google.com. If ping is disabled on the network a false test result could be displayed and may require you to involve your IT department or someone familiar with your network.

It may be necessary to involve your IT department or someone familiar with your network if there is a failure with the Ports or Services test which requires changes to the network / firewall settings.

 

Reviewing the Clocks Error Log

  1. Tap the Settings button on the touchscreen of the clock.
  2. Enter the administrator PIN and tap OK. The Administrator Menu screen will display.
  3. Tap Error Log. Any logged information will display.
  4. Once complete, tap the back button to return to the default screen.
